“Displacing the Anthropocene: Colonialism, Extinction and the Unruliness of Nature in Palestine”
A new Open Access article by CGSC member Professor Olaf Corry, co-authored with Dr Ruba Salih (SOAS), has been published in Environment and Planning E: Nature and Space. Professor Corry summarises:
"In the article, we foreground nature–human entanglements as crucial for understanding the operations – but also the instability – of colonial power. We suggest that fractures and openings in settler colonial projects become legible by paying attention to ecological ruins, that is, the afterlife of nature that was erased due to its enmeshment with Indigenous people."
